D.I.M.H

 YOU
PRISTINELY PRESERVED
FROM THE TYRANNY OF TIME
IN THE SANCTUM SANCTORUM
OF A TEMPLE OF THOUGHTS
IN MY NOSTALGIC NECROPOLIS

YOU
APPEAR AFFECTIONATELY
FROM RHAPSODIC RUINS
WHEN I AM DISTRAUGHT
BEYOND DECISIONS AND DESIRE
BETWEEN RIGHTS AND WRONGS

YOU
SMOOTHLY SOOTHING
LIKE A FROZEN DESSERT
IN A SCORCHING DESERT
MY EXCLUSIVE ELUSIVE ELIXIR
FOR THE DISEASE OF REALITY.

Et tu, Somnus!

Just when I need you the most
You vanish away like a ghost
I shout out your name in vain
For you have left me for my bane
My restless thoughts tremble
As a screaming silence ensembles

You never said you will be gone
Deserting me at the pits of Forlorn
Aren't you supposed to be my solace?
But instead you become my grimace
My head is beginning to pound
Yet there ain't any signs of you around

My eyes are burning for your sight
As I toggle myself from left to right
I can't stand this torment anymore
My patience has gone awfully sore
No strength left for more laments
I want you here this very moment

Without you my day would be all hazy
Nudging me to brink of being crazy
Tainting both my work and my play
I have no more words left to say
Come back you traitorous creep
I need you now O my dear sleep

Finally Insomniac Sleeps

Lying on his bed of willow,
On his favorite pillow,
He listens to the singing clock,
Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock...

Turning left , Turning right,
Waiting for take off of sleep's flight.
Turning right, Turning left,
Longing for consciousness's theft.

Suddenly his dog begins to bark,
There's something moving in the dark...
It's just a large insect - A dragonfly,
He breathes in relief with a sigh.

His dog has now begun to snore
Its irking sounds , he tries to ignore,
When in his balcony, an owl hoots,
He shoos it off with his boots.

Though his tiredness abounds
Sleep is nowhere to be found
Forcibly shutting his eyes,
He imagines the star-lit skies.

Seeing the bright, shining moon
Sleep begins to lure him soon
Flowing away from thought streams,
He finally dives into sweet dreams.

Enigmatic Rains

Sleep has become an engima
Lost in confusion's stigma
The body wishes to sleep
Alas the mind is lost in thoughts so deep

As the rain ceaselessly pours
My tension and anxiety soars
Think its high time to hit the bed
To avoid waking up like the dead
