Not long ago
I could easily pull
From my pockets
Thoughts and words
That rhymed and chimed
And made me happy;
Now they are all empty,
Torn by time and space.
I need to learn
To sew these holes
To sew myself whole again.

Yes, do it, poet! Nicely done. 🤍
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing worthless or empty about these words! I love when a poem about NOT writing causes writing. ;) Nice job.
ReplyDeleteDe
Umesh, your last couplet got me in the feels. One stitch at a time, my friend.
ReplyDeleteDon't lose the needle Umesh 👍
ReplyDeleteAh, well! It is certainly not so empty. Words always help us to sew ourselves.
