Empty Pockets

Not long ago
I could easily pull
From my pockets
Thoughts and words
That rhymed and chimed
And made me happy;
Now they are all empty,
Torn by time and space.
I need to learn
To sew these holes
To sew myself whole again.

  1. There is nothing worthless or empty about these words! I love when a poem about NOT writing causes writing. ;) Nice job.

  2. Umesh, your last couplet got me in the feels. One stitch at a time, my friend.

  3. Ah, well! It is certainly not so empty. Words always help us to sew ourselves.
